1. What do you feel will most likely capture your reader’s attention regarding your book?
Struggling to understand her place within the family, I think the daughter’s character in this book will capture many readers’ attention. The way the daughter longs to simply be found appealing and pleasing should stand out significantly. Much of what happens in the book is initiated by the daughter, who refuses to play a passive role.
2. What other books would you compare to your own story?
As the last book in a trilogy, this story should be comparable to the previous two titles of Daddy’s Desire and Mother’s Passion. There’s the familiar BDSM themes throughout the book, and even some favorite characters. Many of the appeals of the previous stories will still apply to this story as well, though expanded and deepened.
3. What inspired the title of your latest book?
Daughter’s Fantasy I hoped would convey the daughter’s interests and initiation into finding out her family traditions. While she struggles with some of the things she finds, some heighten her personal fantasies. The title reflects the three characters involved throughout the trilogy, finally ending with the daughter.
4. Taken as a whole, what moral, social, or political questions does your story discuss?
The plot of Daughter’s Fantasy focuses on a woman coming to terms with sexual submission and her own sexuality. Today many women and men alike share the moral issue of opening up about their fantasies no matter how minuscule. At the heart of this story, is the social question of just what is acceptable, and how should we determine such standards. The story raises many varying ideas around acting on our individual fantasies and personal desires.
5. Artistically or literarily, were there any challenges creating your story’s dynamics?
The last book of a trilogy, I struggled at first with even wanting to write this story. The characters were familiar already, with the addition of the daughter. Usually I’m challenged by the content, not the actual story. This time I found motivation difficult, but once I started that quickly fell away. By the time the book was finished, I had grown to love the characters all over again.
6. How do you feel the cover highlights your story?
The cover image chosen for this cover is my absolutely favorite out of the trilogy. After such an outstanding cover for the last book, I wondered how this book’s cover might stand out. Never one to disappoint, the cover artist did an amazing job giving this cover a unique style while fitting everything within the trilogy’s overall feel. Plus, I love the romantic feel of these two characters centered right on the cover.
7. Share with us an interesting fact or moment in your book.
Perhaps the most interesting moment of this book’s plot is the daughter’s first time experience. Having hoped for her first time to go a certain way, she fights the reality of losing her innocence. While not a bad experience, I think the realism to such an occurrence really will draw in many readers. Balancing realistic sexual experiences with fantasy is always an interesting mix.
8. What is your favorite part or scene in your book?
Ironically my favorite scene in this book happens near the end of the story. The scene ended up being an unexpected addition, but the family sex scene was just too good not to include. The way the family members interact making their last fantasies come true is sexy and innocent at the same time. Readers will really be able to enjoy the mixing of such different personalities.
9. What appeals to you most about writing for this genre?
Nothing is more exciting than getting to write my latest book. The incest genre has always been surrounded by controversy. I enjoy getting to write subject matter that raises eyebrows and leads to various conversations because of that same controversy. In the end, I think incest erotica has an appeal far greater than many authors realize, and there are so many different opportunities for variations in subject matter.
