1. What do you feel will most likely capture your reader’s attention regarding your book?
In this erotic tale, I think readers will be captivated most by the different types of sexual relationships. While father daughter sex is a heavy theme, the book examines how others may feel about such relationships. There’s also a BDSM feel, and readers will find the blending of the two extremely intriguing.
2. What other books would you compare to your own story?
Truthfully, I’m an Anne Rice fan. This book was definitely inspired by her Vampire Chronicles series. I wanted a sexual book, but with the same mysterious themes. There’s ritualistic sex, old buildings with hidden corners, and even a couple characters that aren’t what they appear. I hope readers of such material will enjoy the eroticism of a father daughter gothic theme.
3. What inspired the title of your latest book?
Daddy’s Desire highlights the driving force throughout the book. While the daughter has a mind of her own, she ultimately wants to satisfy her Daddy’s needs. The more she does however, the more she learns her father has very different desires. As she discovers these different desires, their combined sexual exploration changes in intensity.
4. Taken as a whole, what moral, social, or political questions does your story discuss?
In this book, I was excited to explore what a father might feel letting go of his daughter. Father’s struggle to realize their daughters are of sexual maturity, and I wanted to explore how men see such a transformation. At the same time, I wanted the daughter to share in the impressions left. Ultimately, I think the theme does quite well.
5. Artistically or literarily, were there any challenges creating your story’s dynamics?
Definitely, there are challenges with any story. This book had a particularly frustrating challenge, because it wanted to be three stories. I started writing this book initially as a single novel. No matter how hard I tried, the story wouldn’t cooperate. Knowing this is the first of a trilogy, the book fell right into place. I’m eagerly working on finishing up the trilogy now.
6. How do you feel the cover highlights your story?
This cover is by far one of my favorites. I’m really amazed at how sexy the cover image turned out to be. The text highlights the feel of the book, both is style and cover. The model’s eyes are also really engaging, which I feel may hint at some of the secrets revealed toward the end of the book. Interestingly, I also love the background for this cover. I think the background pulls everything together leaving an erotic feel that’s sexy at the same time.
7. Share with us an interesting fact or moment in your book.
There’s an interesting thing where two of the girls sneak out to watch their parents play. While their sexually curious themselves, they never expected to find what they do. Unable to stop their curiosity, each girl is left with a different impression of the situation. I think readers will find such a scene intriguing, as it hints at later explorations.
8. What is your favorite part or scene in your book?
My favorite part of this book has to be the two girls exploring each other. The dynamic between them focuses on what one of the girls has already done with her father. I think the scene is both sensual and erotic. By far, it’s a favorite inclusion to a book with so many of my favorite scenes. It’s tough to choose just one actually.
9. What appeals to you most about writing for this genre?
This genre has opened so many doors for my writing. There’s a hardship when writing controversial material, but it’s worth it. Erotica is only growing in popularity, and incest is a huge part of that growth. I enjoy writing controversial subjects, and seeing how various readers respond to boundary pushing content.
